Martha is the eldest of the six children of William and Elsie Bartholomaus. She was born on August 24, 1920, in Rushmore, MN. Her eightieth birthday was the focus of a wonderful family reunion in August 2000. Some pictures from the occasion are available via the reunion 2000 link.
Martha married Herman Manitz on February 24, 1940. They lived for many years on a farm near Round Lake, MN. Martha currently resides in the town of Round Lake, where she enjoys some fame for her card playing. Herman passed away in 1972.
The only child of Martha and Herman is Shirley, who recently returned to the Worthington area.
